Support our Cuddles for Christmas Campaign
Max is 7 years old and was diagnosed just after his birthday. His mum Laura told us:
"After repeated blood tests we received the news that he had acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (high risk). We were blue lighted from Stoke Mandeville hospital to John Radcliffe Oxford and the following day treatment began.
“Max takes his treatment in his stride and has times where he is energetic and you wouldn’t know there was anything wrong. But he’s recently started a new treatment due to his latest biopsy showing an increase in the cancer cells and this will run for 24 hours a day for four weeks via his Hickman line.
“Max struggles with his emotions and anger since he was diagnosed and finds it hard missing out on day trips and school, especially when his brother still leads a normal life.
“His diagnosis turned our world upside down but we continue to be positive and as long as Max is still smiling it keeps the family going.”
If you can, send a child like Max a warm Cuddle for Christmas.
The Cancer Support warmable teddy has really helped with the stomach aches and pains Max has on a regular basis. If you can, send a child like Max a warm Cuddle for Christmas
Warmable, Cuddly, Scented
Send a ted to a child in a hospital bed this Christmas
Our Cuddles for Christmas campaign aims to raise £14,400 to deliver 1,200 warmable teddies to children being treated for cancer in hospital this Christmas. If we're lucky enough to raise more money than we need, any extra will be used to help fill cancer kits to send out to cancer patients in 2024. We receive no government support and our services are needed more than ever. Thank you.
